Where should I start if this is my first trip?
Start with Starting a trip, then shape a few days in Itinerary. Add the bookings you already have to Essentials, and bring people in if you are not travelling alone.
What is the difference between Essentials and Insights?
Essentials holds the records you carry: bookings, files, documents, checklists. Insights is destination know-how you use while planning or travelling, like language, money, and local guidance.

Where do ideas go if they are not scheduled yet?
On a wishlist. Saving a place keeps it around without committing it to a day, and it can move into the itinerary whenever the timing works.
Can a group plan together without everyone editing?
Yes. Make the people helping you plan Editors and everyone else Viewers, so the whole group can follow the trip while the plan itself stays tidy.

Does the assistant change my trip on its own?
Anything that would change your trip comes back as a suggestion you approve first. Questions and lookups answer immediately, since they change nothing.
What can I actually ask the assistant to do?
